Aerial view of the Base CampOn-site housekeeping (custodial) services are provided Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.  Mary, Brenda, Donna, Amanda and Maria provide great hospitality to the guests at MGIO, VATT, SMT and LBT.

Custodial Services Responsibilities include:

bulletCleaning maintenance of  Mt. Graham Base Camp Operations
bulletCleaning maintenance of the Vatican Telescope (VATT)
bulletCleaning maintenance of the Heinrich Hertz Telescope (SMT)
bulletCleaning maintenance of the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT)

Duties and general cleaning which are performed in these areas are:

bulletDusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing of all public areas
bulletTrash collection and removal from site
bulletLaundry service with pick-up & delivery five days per week
bulletSupply procurement of paper products & cleaning solutions
bulletCarpet cleaning
bulletFloor refinishing
bulletUpholstery cleaning
bulletWindow cleaning

The University of Arizona Wildcats are well known throughout the sports community. Nova, our wildcat at the Base Camp, is not quite as well known but she does keep the mouse population under control.
